Curt’s Story
Curtis DeMarce, aka The Demon, is a fighter unlike any other. Born in Brandon, MB. Curtis has overcome countless obstacles on his journey to become arguably one of the most exciting combat sports athletes of Canada. Growing up with divorced parents, Curt faced a lot of adversity at a young age while being troubled. DeMarce found solace, peace and discipline in the sport of Martial Arts before it was cool. With his relentless drive and determination, Curtis jumped into the pro circuit in 2007 at just 18 years old.
After starting off on the wrong foot, Demarce was able to turn things around and run a 9 fight win streak to lead him to the MFC, one of North America’s biggest promotions. His first victory came from an impressive mounted triangle against an undefeated prospect, always bringing the most electrifying fights, it was no different fighting the TUF veteran Ritchie Whitson and UFC Veteran Marcus “The Irish Hand Grenade” Davis to controversial wars ending in split decisions, content to rest on his laurels. After some bad decisions in the Maximum Fighting Championship he left the organization, Training for a Title in another organization Curtis got into a car accident where doctors feared they were undecided on whether they should amputate his arm or not. After surgery and intense long months of recovery Instead of listening to the doctors, Demarce turned triumph into tragedy and ignored the noise and proved everyone wrong by coming back just over 4 years later and winning the Unified Featherweight World Title by TKO. Curtis is a person to defeat all odds and his perseverance is truly remarkable and inspiring, With his signature cocky swagger and never-say-die attitude, Curtis DeMarce has always been a fan-favorite in the Octagon, earning him the nickname The Demon and not once not earning Fight of the Night.
